Kristin Standhardinger Named PBC Specialist Of The Week


SAVANNAH, Ga. - Armstrong Atlantic State freshman setter Kristin Standhardinger has been named the Peach Belt Conference volleyball Specialist of the Week for the third time this season in a release from league officials today.

Standhardinger led the Pirates to a pair of Peach Belt Conference road wins on the week. She dished out 37 assists and hit .625 in a 3-0 win at Augusta State on Tuesday, then notched 49 assists and seven digs in a come-from-behind 3-2 win at Montevallo on Saturday.

For the week, Standhardinger averaged 10.75 assists, 1.5 digs and 1.12 kills per set. This is the third honor for her this season - she was the league's Specialist of the Week on the first two weeks of the season, on August 31 and September 8.

The Munich, Germany, native ranks second currently in the PBC averaging 9.82 assists per set. Standhardinger and the Pirates will be next in action on Friday, October 23, as they host Pfeiffer at 7:00 p.m. in the PBC/Conference Carolinas Crossover.
