Leeanna Woodworth begins her second season as an assistant coach
on Eric Faulconer's women's soccer staff at AASU. Woodworth was
elevated to asssistant coach prior to the 2008 season after serving
the last two years as a volunteer assistant coach.
The 2004 Atlantic Sun Player of the Year for Gardner-Webb,
Woodworth enjoyed a standout career for the Bulldogs, earning
CoSIDA Academic All-America honors as a senior while also earning
Atlantic Sun All-Conference honors three times.
The all-time leader in points, goals and assists for the Bulldogs, Woodworth tallied 49 goals and 37 assists from 2002-2005, good for 153 career points. She also holds the single-season goals (22) and assists (15) record, which she set in 2004.
Woodworth graduated from Gardner-Webb in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in sports management.
A native of Virginia Beach, Va., Woodworth currently resides in
Savannah.
