AASU Soccer Returns To NSCAA Top 25 Poll


SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State women's soccer squad moved back into the NSCAA Division II Top 25 poll, released today by the organization. The Pirates enter the poll at No. 21.

With today's first-round PBC Tournament win over UNC Pembroke, the Pirates (13-3-3) have now won three straight and re-enter the poll after a three-week absence. AASU is one of four new teams in the poll this week. Columbus State remains the only other Peach Belt team in the poll, coming in at No. 6.

Fellow Southeast Region squad Carson-Newman is No. 11, while Tusculum is receiving votes.

The Pirates will play in the semifinals of the 2009 PBC Championships at Blanchard Woods Park in Evans, Ga., at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6.
