Pirates Match At King (Tenn.) For Saturday Cancelled

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State women's soccer squad's scheduled regular season final match at King (Tenn.) on Saturday has been cancelled due to anticipated severe weather conditions in the Briston, Tenn., area for tomorrow.

With the PBC Tournament beginning on Tuesday, there will be no chance of a makeup date for the Tornado and the Pirates. AASU finishes the 2009 regular season with a 12-3-3 overall record and awaits word of its postseason opponent for the first round of the PBC Championships.

The Pirates will host a first-round match in the 2009 PBC Championships on Tuesday, November 3, at 2:00 p.m. at AT&T Field. The bracket will be finalized on Sunday as four league matches are still on the PBC slate for this weekend. AASU can finish no lower than second in the league standings.
