Women's Soccer Fourth In Latest NCAA Region Rankings

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State women's soccer squad slipped one spot to No. 4 in the latest Southeast Region rankings, released late Wednesday by the NCAA. The rankings are the third of five sets of rankings leading up to the selection of the NCAA DII Women's Soccer Championship field on November 9.

The Pirates (10-3-3) went 0-1-1 last week in matches against other regionally-ranked squads, losing 2-1 at North Georgia and drawing 2-2 against Tusculum. North Georgia debutes in the poll this week at No. 10, while Tusculum traded places with AASU in the rankings and is now No. 3.

Columbus State continues to hold down the top spot in the rankings, followed by Carson-Newman. Newberry is No. 5, followed by Catawba, Lander, Wingate and Saturday's opponent for AASU, UNC Pembroke.
