Lady Pirates Finish Fourth At Dana Rader Intercollegiate

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Armstrong Atlantic State women's golf team shot a final-round 352 on Tuesday and finished fourth at the Dana Rader Intercollegiate, hosted by Pfeiffer University, at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte.
The Lady Pirates finished the tournament with a two-day 678 total, coming in behind team champion Pfeiffer (615), Queens (NC) (654) and Carson Newman (667). Newberry (678) rounded out the top five team scores.
Freshman Victoria Bennett notched her first career top 10 finish after shooting a second-round 81 for a two-day 160 total, placing in sixth place for the tournament. Sophomore Sarah Johns shot an 89 on Tuesday and finished tied for 11th with a 167 total, while freshman Kim Knox shot a 91 and finished tied for 18th with a two-day 173 total.
Sophomore Kristen Jelinek also shot a 91 on Tuesday and finished tied for 23rd with a 178 total. Sophomore Carrie George rounded out the Lady Pirates' scoring with a 93 on Tuesday, finishing in 28th place with a 183 total.
The Lady Pirates will be next in action at the West Georgia Invitational in Carrollton, Ga., at the Sunset Hills Country Club.
