Pirates Move Into GSU Fall Invitational Bracket Finals

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State men's tennis team will be well represented in Sunday's bracket finals of the Georgia Southern Fall Invitational after Saturday's action in Statesboro, Ga.
Junior Mikk Irdoja will play in the A Singles final after picking up a pair of wins on Saturday. The estonian native took out Greg Bekkers, 6-2, 6-1, in the second round, while teammate Rafael Array defeated Gokalp Ozdemir of Kennesaw State, 6-3, 6-4. The two teammates matched up in the semifinals, with Irdoja taking a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Irdoja will face Moritz Buerchner of North Florida at Noon on Sunday.
In doubles play, Irdoja and Array will face Bekkers and Verdam of Georgia Southern in Sunday's final.
In consolation bracket action, senior Paul Fitzgerald picked up a 6-4, 6-0 win over Tyler Mills of Kennesaw State. Fitzgerald will play in the Consolation final at Noon on Sunday against Graham Edgar of North Florida.
