Irdoja, Regan Advance To C.L. Varner Singles Finals

WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Armstrong Atlantic State men's tennis teams will be well represented in the singles and doubles bracket finals of the C.L. Varner Memorial after Saturday's second day of action at Rollins College.

Mikk Irdoja is in the A Singles bracket final after a 6-1, 6-2 win over Neil Clausen of host Rollins on Saturday. He will face Paul Henri Arrigoni of Lander in Sunday's bracket final.

Freshman Daniel Regan, meanwhile, is in the B Singles bracket final after a 7-6 (4), 6-2 win over Barry's Marco Mokrzycki. He will take on Stetson's Cesare Gallo in the final on Sunday.

Irdoja and Rafael Array teamed for a pair of doubles wins, moving into the Doubles Bracket final on Sunday. The duo defeated Baravelle and Dzelde of Rollins, 8-3, and Swanteson and Stene of Stetson, 8-5. Up in the final are the team of Levanovich and Gallo on Sunday.

Paul Fitzgerald dropped a 2-6, 7-5, (10-7) consolation singles decision to Emmanuel Fraitzl of Barry in other action on Saturday.

The C.L. Varner Memorial concludes on Sunday in Winter Park.
