Pirates Finish 12th At Mizuno Savannah Intercollegiate

POOLER, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State men's golf team shot a final-round 302 on Tuesday to finish 12th at the Mizuno Savannah Intercollegiate, hosted by Georgia Southern University, at Savannah Quarters in Pooler.
The Pirates finished the tournament with an 891 total, while East Carolina lead wire-to-wire and captured the 15-team tournament with an 852 total. Wofford (871) finished second, 19 strokes behind, whiel Furman (872) and Old Dominion (873) finished third and fourth, respectively. Host Georgia Southern (875) rounded out the top five.
Sophomore Matt Motes carded a three-over-par 75 on Tuesday and finished tied for 17th with a two-over-par 218 total, leading AASU individually. Freshman Jacob Tilton had the day's best round for AASU with a one-under-par 71 to finish tied for 25th with a 221 total. Freshman Justin Wylie shot a final-round 80 and finished tied for 44th with a 225 total.
Freshman Tyler Erickson carded a 76 on Tuesday to finish tied for 57th with a 229 total. Sophomore Parker Gordon rounded out the team scoring for AASU with a final-round 80 to finish in 79th place with a 236 total.
Playing as an individual, junior David Patterson carded a 76 on Tuesday to finish tied for 52nd with a 227 total. Sophomore Dustin Allen also played as an individual and shot an 83 on Tuesday to finish tied for 74th with a 237 total.
The Pirates are finished with their fall schedule and will return to play in February with their spring slate.
