Chris Wolfe Earns GCAA Honorable Mention All-America Honors

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Armstrong Atlantic State senior men's golfer Chris Wolfe has earned All-America honors from the Golf Coaches' Association of America (GCAA) for a third consecutive season, becoming the Pirates' first three-time All-American in men's golf.
Wolfe earned Honorable Mention honors from the organization after leading the Pirates to their eighth straight NCAA Championships appearance. In 28 rounds played, Wolfe carded a 72.8 stroke average and notched 10 top 20 finishes in 11 tournaments, including four top 5 finishes and seven top 10 finishes.
An All-PBC selection for the fourth time in his career, Wolfe was also named to the GCAA's All-Southeast Region team. The Warner Robins, Ga., native earned third team GCAA All-America honors as a sophomore in 2006-07 and first team All-America honors as a junior in 2007-08. In his four years, Wolfe captured seven tournaments, an AASU record and tied for the second most in Peach Belt Conference history.
The Pirates have had eight GCAA All-American honorees in the nine years of AASU golf since the program was reinstated in 2000-01. Head coach Michael Butler's squad returns five players for 2009-10, the 10th year of men's golf at AASU since reinstatement.
