Pirates Reappear In NABC Division II Top 25 Poll At No. 23


SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State men's basketball team has reappeared in the latest NABC/Division II Men's Basketball Poll, released today. The Pirates check in at No. 23 in the rankings, entering the poll after a two-week absence.

The Pirates (22-5) are one of four Peach Belt Conference teams in the rankings this week as No. 5 Augusta State, No. 17 USC Aiken and No. 24 GCSU also appear in the poll this week. Undefeated Findlay remains the top-ranked team in the land, followed by LIU-C.W. Post, BYU-Hawaii and Southwest Baptist.

AASU has now spent six weeks in the national rankings this year and have been receiving votes in every other poll this season. This is the third season out of the last four in which the Pirates have earned a national ranking during the season and in head coach Jeff Burkhamer’s tenure at AASU, the Pirates have been nationally ranked 13 times.
