Pirate Basketball Slips To No. 15 In NABC/Top 25 Poll

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State men's basketball team slipped three spots to No. 15 in the latest NABC/Division II Top 25 poll, released today.
The poll does not take into account AASU's home loss on Monday to Francis Marion. Instead, AASU went 1-1 in the latest poll period, knocking off Clayton State on Wednesday, then falling at nationally-ranked USC Aiken on Saturday.
Four PBC teams continue to appear in the poll, and with GCSU's win on Saturday over Augusta State, a shakeup within the league in the rankings also took place. USC Aiken is now the highest-ranked league team at No. 9, with Augusta State falling to No. 11. AASU is at No. 15, and GCSU is now ranked No. 17, giving the league four Top 20-ranked teams.
Undefeated Findlay continues as the nation's top-ranked team, with LIU-C.W. Post remaining second. Central Oklahoma is third, followed by BYU-Hawaii and Gannon.
AASU will try to halt its two-game losing streak on Wednesday, February 4, when the Pirates visit Georgia Southwestern State for a 7:30 p.m. Peach Belt Conference contest against the Hurricanes.
