AASU Recruit VanLandingham Scores 13 In East-West All-Star Game

GREENSBORO, Ga. ? Incoming freshman Chris VanLandingham participated in the NCCA's East-West All-Star Game on Monday at the Greensboro Coliseum, featuring the top senior high school players in the state of North Carolina.

VanLandingham scored 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the floor for the West All-Stars, scoring the third-most points on his squad behind Virginia Tech signee Victor Davila (24 points) and Appalachian State signee Marcus Wright (17 points). The East prevailed in the contest, 99-93.

The North Henderson HS product led the state of North Carolina in scoring this season, averaging 32.5 points per game. VanLandingham joins a class of seven incoming players for head coach Jeff Burkhamer and the 2008-09 Armstrong Atlantic State men's basketball program.
