Hampton Inn & Suites Joins The AASU Athletics Family

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Armstrong Atlantic State athletic director Andy Carter announced today an exciting sponsorship agreement with Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Gateway to become the official hotel destination for the Pirate athletic department.

Located at the junction of I-95 and State Road 204 (Exit 94), the Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Gateway has been welcoming visitors to the Coastal Empire area since 2006. The property consists of 92 rooms, many of which are suites, and is located just minutes away from the AASU campus. 

The Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Gateway will be the title sponsor of AASU's two in-season basketball tournaments for the 2009-10 year - the 2009 Hampton Inn & Suites Fall Finals Classic on December 18 and 19 featuring both the AASU men's and women's basketball teams, as well as the Hampton Inn & Suites Holiday Classic on Dec. 29-30, featuring the AASU men's team.

Fans of the Pirates and family will also be able to stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites location on I-95 and State Road 204 for $69 a night - reservations can be made directly through the link on AASU's Corporate Sponsorship page.

"We're very pleased to be able to establish this beneficial relationship with the Hampton Inn & Suites," Carter said. "They are enthusiastic about joining the Pirate family and this agreement is just the start to what I feel will be a long lasting friendship."
