
Tammy Collins begins her first year at Armstrong Atlantic State University as the Assistant Athletic Trainer.
The Norton,
Ohio, native recently completed her Master’s degree in
exercise science from University of Georgia. While in Athens, Tammy
worked with the UGA athletic training staff as a graduate assistant
working with the women’s volleyball team.
Collins graduated from Ohio State University in 2007 with a
Bachelor of Science in Allied Medical Professions with an emphasis
in Athletic Training. She was able to gain experience working with
football, men’s lacrosse, field hockey, men’s ice
hockey, women’s crew, women’s tennis and women’s
soccer while at OSU, as well as working with athletes at Dublin
Coffman High School.
Collins also completed an internship with the Columbus Destroyers
of the Arena Football League during the 2007 season.
She is a certified member of the NATA and is also a member of the
Southeastern Athletic Trainers Association and the Georgia Athletic
Trainers Association.
